The Faculty of Engineering Sciences at Nyala University awards a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Engineering, with a study duration of five years. The Faculty comprises three specialized academic departments designed to meet labour market requirements and support national sustainable development plans
1. Department of Civil Engineering
Department Overview:
The department aims to prepare civil engineers capable of designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure and construction projects in accordance with the latest international specifications and quality and safety standards.
Main Areas of Specialization:
Structural design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, road and bridge engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources and irrigation engineering, and construction project management.

2. Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Department Overview:
The department aims to prepare skilled electrical and electronic engineers specializing in the design and operation of electrical power systems, electronic systems, and communications, while keeping pace with developments in artificial intelligence and automation.
Main Areas of Specialization:
Electrical power engineering, electrical machines, electronics, communications, control systems, smart grids, and solar energy.

3. Department of Mechanical Engineering
Department Overview:
The department focuses on preparing qualified mechanical engineers specializing in design, manufacturing, and energy. Graduates are equipped to operate, maintain, and develop mechanical systems to serve industry and agriculture while keeping pace with advances in artificial intelligence in these fields.
